I often reflect on the earlier days when I ate and drank whatever I wanted and felt good that I was able to without much guilt or weight gain. These days am not only more conscious but more careful about what I put in my mouth. One of the things I watch most is my heart health. Below I have listed the some warning sign your heart is in trouble and what to do about it.
According to the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC), nearly half of all Americans — both men and women — have three or more risk factors for heart disease.
Thats 50% of Americans nearly 150 million people suffer from heart disease or are on their way to heart disease. Realistically that figure is probably closer to 80%. That means there is only about 20% not suffering or on the path to heart disease. Of that last percentage 10% is probably under the age of 20. Foods that regularly occur on the Standard American diet (SAD) are pushing up this particular bio marker of ageing pretty quickly. Heart diseases are now occurring as early as 30s.
Some of these risk factors include:
- A diet high in saturated fat
- alcohol abuse or excessive drinking
- high cholesterol
- Hypertension (high blood pressure)
Then there are even earlier signs
- 6. difficulty breathing after physical exertion or exercise.
- Discomfort in the chest which last for more than 30 minutes
- Pain or discomfort in the Jaw,neck shoulder or chest.
- Irregular heartbeat
- Thumping sound in the ear
Fainting or dizzy spells
If you have in the past or are experiencing 3 or more of these issues above it's time to make a change. References http://www.worldometers.info/world-population/us-population/http://www.healthline.com/health/heart-disease/signs-men#overview1
